Georgia is home to several ski resorts, including Gudauri, Bakuriani, Goderdzi, Tetnuldi, and Hatsvali — offering great slopes for every level.

This page helps you get to know Georgia’s ski resorts and see the main differences between them.

1. Gudauri (our home!)

Best for: Freeride, long pistes, modern lifts, beginners & advanced.
Altitude: ~2,200–3,300 m
Vibe: Sporty, energetic, popular with foreigners
Why choose Gudauri:

  • Largest ski area in Georgia

  • Best off-piste & powder skiing

  • Modern lifts and long, wide slopes

  • Nightlife and many instructors available

  • Activities for families and kids

  • Closest from capital Tbilisi.

  • Our team operate in Gudauri! 
    Downside: Can get windy, The most busy resort, Gets colder compared to other ski resorts!

2. Bakuriani

Best for: Families, kids, relaxed skiing
Altitude: ~1,700 m


Vibe: Family-friendly, calm, traditional


Why choose Bakuriani:

  • Perfect for children and beginners

  • Cheaper compared to Gudauri

  • Many easy slopes and activities for families

  • City vibe, Big variety of Hotels.

  • Forest views!
    Downside: Lower altitude = softer snow on warm days. You have to check snow conditions before! Longer drive from Tbilisi compared to Gudauri. Lots of KIDS!

3. Goderdzi

Best for: Snow quality, calm atmosphere, nature lovers
Altitude: ~2,000 m
Vibe: Wild, quiet, natural
Why choose Goderdzi:

  • Highest snowfall in Georgia

  • Less crowded almost empty

  • Wild, Pure nature for adventure seekers!

  • New development
    Downside: Remote, fewer hotels and restaurants, Road not always accessible, very far from Tbilisi, hotels might be fully booked. weather is colder because of high altitude, needs longer holidays!

4. Tetnuldi and Hatsvali (Mestia)

Tetnuldi: Best for: Long slopes, views, advanced skiers
Altitude: ~2,260–3,165 m
Vibe: Big-mountain, scenic, adventurous
Why choose Tetnuldi:

  • Very long and beautiful pistes

  • Stunning Svaneti mountains

  • Great for freeride and pros

  • Lower slopes Great for beginners

  • Almost empty

  • Everything is Cheaper

  • Its a whole different community, local cuisine history and culture
    Downside: Hotels are not directly at the slopes (40 min drive from Mestia), Mestia is extremely long drive from Tbilisi (9 hrs) 

Hatsvali: Best for: Views, Vibe, Walking distance from Mestia town
Altitude: ~1,800–2,344 m
Vibe: Small, cozy, close to the village
Why choose Hatsvali:

  • Ideal for half-day skiing

  • Great views of Ushba

  • Easy access from Mestia

  • Great vibes inside Zuruldi Cafe

  • Forest views!
    Downside: Small ski area, limited runs, Far from Tbilisi.
